BlueVal presents Practical Insights on Hybrid Debt at EACVA Conference in Munich, Germany

BlueVal participated in the 18^th Annual International Business Valuation Conference organized by the European Association of Certified Valuators and Analysis (EACVA) on November 13–14, 2025, in Munich, Germany. Our Partner Antonella Puca, CPA/ABV, CFA delivered the session “Valuation of Private Debt with Equity Features: Special Challenges, New Instruments and Practical Examples,” offering an overview of recent trends in private debt markets and the growing use of hybrid instruments. The presentation highlighted key valuation considerations for instruments such as term loans with warrants, debt with royalty components, and convertible notes, focusing on challenges related to debt–equity classification, dilution, and restructuring scenarios. Attention was also given to how AI tools can assist analysts by extracting contractual terms, supporting model calibration, and streamlining ongoing valuation updates. BlueVal was an exhibitor at the conference with our Senior Associate Lorenzo Paci representing the firm to the conference attendees.
